Technology

1. Hard valve

The Hard Valve provides reliable air retention within the Air-Box and is fully reusable, making it particularly suitable for high-value products. The inflation system is easy to use and should generate an inflation pressure of 1.2 PSI or 0.1 BAR. The following tools can be used to inflate Hard Valve Air-Box packaging.

2. Soft valve

The Soft Valve is better suited for more general use with lower-cost items.

The Air-Box can be inflated with a straw, hand pump, or portable compressor and again should generate an inflation pressure of 1.2 PSI or 0.1 BAR.

3. Air-exchange hole

The internal air-exchange hole allows air to move between the two chambers, enabling the Air-Box to inflate properly.

4. Product Positioning Zones

Designed to help position the product in the centre of the Air-Box for maximum protection and presentation. These positioning zones can be placed in various locations or removed entirely to provide additional internal space.

5. Quilting

Quilt patterns can be customised to the shape of the product, reducing the inflated volume of the Air-Box and allowing multi-chamber designs.

6. Closure seal

After the Air-Box is inflated, the open plastic flap can be heat-sealed. This feature helps contain liquids in the event of a leak (refer to Cytoxic picture on special Air-Box section). Alternately it can act as a security seal for valuable items.
